Born Again AcademyBorn Again Academy is the training division of Bonded From Birth, LLC, PO Box 381, Powhatan, VA 23139. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, why, and who else sees it.
What We Collect
Your account. Your name, email address, and a password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash — we cannot read yours, and neither can anyone who obtained our database.
Your enrollment. The state you intend to practise in, which cohort you joined, which parts of the program you purchased, what you paid, and when.
Your coursework. Quiz answers and scores, assignment submissions including any files or videos you upload, discussion posts, and your progress through the course.
How you use the site. Pages visited and roughly how you arrived, via Google Analytics.
What We Do Not Collect
Card numbers never reach us. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details go from your browser to Stripe and are never sent to, processed by, or stored on our systems. We keep only Stripe's reference for the payment, the amount, and what it was for.
This site holds no client or patient health records of any kind. It is a training system, not a practice system.
Why We Hold It
To give you access to the course you paid for, to grade and give feedback on your work, to issue and later verify your credential, to contact you about your enrollment, and to understand which parts of this website are useful to people considering the program.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Who Else Sees It
We rely on a small number of service providers, each handling only what their part of the job requires: Stripe for payments, Microsoft Azure for hosting and data storage, Cloudflare Stream for video you submit or watch, Google Analytics for website statistics, and an email provider to deliver messages such as password resets and enrollment confirmations.
If you ask us to confirm your credential to a state agency or an employer, we will share what that confirmation requires and nothing more.
We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where It Lives
Our systems run in Microsoft Azure's Canada Central region, so your information is stored on servers in Canada. Our service providers may process it elsewhere.
How Long We Keep It
Training and certification records — that you completed the program, when, and what you earned — are kept indefinitely. We hold them because credential verification depends on them: a graduate may need us to confirm their training to a state agency years afterwards.
Payment records are kept as long as our tax and accounting obligations require.
If you would like your account closed and the information we are not obliged to keep removed, write to us and we will do it.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, to protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and for Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but the sign-in ones are required for the course to work at all.
Children
This site is intended for adults training for professional practice. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
