Keep Your Credential Active

Born Again Academy's Community Perinatal Doula certification is maintained through recertification every 3 years. The organization sends renewal reminders within three months of the due date.

Recertification Requirements (Every 3 Years)

Complete 12 CEUs during the 3-year renewal period
Submit CEU documentation as instructed (typically CE certificates)
Re-affirm agreement to the Community Perinatal Doula standards during renewal
Provide a link to your current doula business website/portfolio for review to confirm accurate credential representation
Update optional directory listing with headshot and business website link

CEU Requirements

12 CEUs every 3 years, earned through approved continuing education topics. Most topics are designed for approximately 1.5 to 2.0 CEUs completion time, earned through Born Again Academy continuing education topics, externally approved CEUs, or free quarterly CEU opportunities for active certificants.

Website/Portfolio Review

The credential representation check confirms accurate representation of credentials and ensures doula services align with Community Perinatal Doula standards.

Recertification Fee

$75 every 3 years. Continuing education costs are separate.
